I've spent over 14 years in the nonprofit world, championing small but mighty organizations that step up to fill critical gaps and provide the kind of personalized support that truly changes lives. Right now, I have the privilege of serving as the Executive Director of Fayette Friends of Animals, a no-kill shelter in Fayette County, PA, where every wag, purr, and happy adoption reminds me why this work matters. I also provide operations support for Global Parents for Eczema Research (GPER), as the Deputy Executive Director, helping to advance research and advocacy for families navigating childhood eczema.
I believe small nonprofits are the heartbeat of real, meaningful change—because when you treat each individual, whether human or animal, with care and respect, the impact ripples far beyond one organization. My expertise spans organizational development, strategic planning, fundraising, donor relations, and staff leadership. But at the core, I'm driven by the magic that happens when passionate people come together to build stronger, more compassionate communities.
Interestingly, my work in animal welfare and eczema research sometimes overlaps in unexpected ways—dogs can develop eczema too, and studies suggest that early exposure to pets may help reduce allergies and eczema in children. It’s a fascinating reminder that the connections between humans and animals run deeper than we often realize.
